Diary of Captain George L. Wood of Company D, 7th Ohio Volunteer Infantry includes a short history of the 7th OVI and biographical sketches of Lt. Louis G. Deforest, Lt. Halbut B. Case, Capt. Joel F. Asper, Col. William P. Creighton, and Lt. Orris J. Crane. On t.p. "This book was captured from the rebels at Charleston, Kanawhu Valley, Va." Book includes accounts for "purchases for confederate states" including horses & wagons, forage, and fuel at Camp Tompkins[?].
